Who are BRC?

We are a charitable organisation which provides facilities, access to information
and services to enable people in Batley and its surrounds to live more fulfilled
and enriched lives within their community.

Our Mission is

To enhance the lives of people in Batley and its locality, through enabling
individuals and groups to improve themselves ,and to provide opportunities
for volunteering.

Our Strategies include

Promoting affordable, accessible and flexible space for individuals , groups,
charities and businesses to use in line with our mission statement

Supporting,signposting,consulting and networking with different community
groups

Providing information,both direct and indirect,on matters of health and social
care,and opportunities for self help and development

Identifying and providing opportunities for activities and support for those in
need of guidance and assistance, with particular reference to older people

Facilitating joint working between voluntary organisations and statutory providers

Providing a focus for, and being a key participant in the development of the
locality and community life

Encouraging ,recruiting and using trained volunteers

Being a valued asset, exemplary example and beacon of community resource
recognised and aspired to throughout Yorkshire
